  1. I have the feeling that there is a trend towards a favorable outcome towards a certain club in the center of Spain. The question is, what is the cause of this. Are the Madrid players really well trained in deceiving the referee? Is it the playing style of different clubs that makes the referee favoring a team? Is the system corrupt or does this blog not report correctly?
If the blog is trustworthy, then it seems rather suspicious indeed.

Good job blogger, since I have no reason to doubt you.

  2. 69:12 is right decision. I must think you are anti madridistar or cule.

    1. If you check the replays, you can clearly see that Kovacic overhits the ball, can't reach it and Inigo cleanly kicks the balls away (in the direction of his own goal). And then Kovacic runs into him. Wrong decision by the referee to give a free-kick for Madrid.

  3. Someone claiming that Mascherano fouling Ronaldo in the area in the last Clasico is an "unclear action" shows an incredible amount of bias. No wonder Sport chose to quote your blog of late.

On the top of that, you only comment on games involving Real Madrid or Barcelona? Funny that.

    1. We qualified that as "unclear action" because there seems to be a previous foul (push) from Ronaldo. Ronaldo didn't ask for a penalty either, which he normally always does when something happens in or around the penalty area. We recommend you to check the images of the whole action again, and not make a judgment on a photo or a gif from a part of the action.

We only comment on Real Madrid and Barcelona games because making a decent analysis takes time and we don't have time to do all 10 La liga games each weekend. Thanks for feedback. :)

    2. Such previous action doesn't exist. Mascherano is pulling Ronaldo's shirt before the Portuguese touches anyone. The fact you didn't -or I for the matter- see Ronaldo asking for a penalty doesn't really matter either.

The penalty is as clear as it gets.

    3. In general, knowing players and their habits (on and off the ball) is very important to be able to judge actions correctly - one of the main lessions we're learning. About the action, we explained our vision, thanks for giving yours :)

    4. Pulling someone's shirt in the area results in a penalty, and that's the first thing happening between these two. It's not even a matter of debate. Not a single former referee in Spain said that was not a stone wall penno the day after. Surprises me to see you go in the opposite direction.

As for only commenting on games involving Barcelona or Real Madrid, I don't think it has something to do with numbers as you said., i.e. you could have chosen to comment on two games per week but not necessarily on Barcelona and Real Madrid the whole time. Why not saying straight forward you talk about Barcelona and Real Madrid because you want to instead of talking about number of games?

If the goal is getting quoted by Sport, you're doing a fine job.

    5. We explained our stand on that goal, we're afraid we don't have anything relevant to add.

As for games analyzed, we said from the start we'd only do Barcelona and Madrid games, because of lack of time and because that way you can come to relevant conclusions (which you can't if you do two random games every week) :)

  4. If you say that Martinez' foul on Kovacic at 69:12 was no foul because the ball was kicked cleanly first, then why do you not apply the same standards to Escalante's foul on Busquets (Eibar-Barcelona, 07:28)?

In that case the ball was kicked cleanly first as well, so by your logic that should have been "No foul", too? Still, you claim that Escalante "should have been booked".

In both cases, the challengers came in with legs fully stretched, which may be dangerous and may be adjudged "dangerous play" and hence a foul by the referee.

But your stance of claiming that the judgment of these two events should be entirely different, is very hard to agree with and raises questions about the your objectivity of your standards.

    1. We'd advice you to check the images of the Inigo-Kovacic again. For once, the Spanish tv did a good job and the replays clear up any doubt :)
